The Perks of Starting a Book Club

This July our HR team introduced a book club for managers to develop and grow as ProLink's strategic leaders. Because ProLink is dedicated to the personal, professional and financial success of our people, the book club was launched to facilitate the development of our managers. There is so much knowledge tucked away in books, and we are diving in head first (literally)!

We structured the program to offer managers more opportunities to grow the skills necessary to effectively manage and lead their teams and careers. It’s also an opportunity to meet and connect with co-workers to share perspectives on a diverse set of topics. This forum allows an open exchange of ideas, because we know new conversations can be a catalyst for helping to create something great! And we’re all about it. It’s a way for our people to learn the same concepts, ideas and share the same language, along with building camaraderie and teamwork. Plus, it’s a lot of fun!

Just last week a small group of us met at a coffee shop to discuss what we’ve read. Talk about fun! ?

So far, we’ve read, Crucial Conversations and we’re in the middle of Everyone Communicates, Few Connect. Next up we will likely draw our people in to choose from a list the HR team has pulled together. We hope you will join us to add another set of ideas and perspective.
