The primary responsibility of the Ultrasound Tech is to perform ultrasound scans, which produce images of the body's internal tissues and organs.
The Ultrasound Tech works closely with doctors to diagnose and/or monitor a range of medical conditions. They will facilitate and coordinate patient care and must be able to work in emergent situations.
