The electronic technician will work as an integral member of the maintenance team to ensure that all production and plant ancillary equipment are operating efficiently. The electronic technician position will safely and effectively troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues relating to manufacturing machines, systems, and the plant to ensure efficient operation.

Duties

  • Follows all Company policies and procedures related to safety. Maintains only the highest safety standards by wearing proper PPE, etc.
  • Performs tasks within acceptable limits for quality, quantity, sanitation, and timeliness of completion, paying particular attention to prevent and eliminate costly errors.
  • Meets Company’s attendance requirements, including timely reporting of absence and working overtime as requested.
  • Complies with sanitation guidelines and good manufacturing practices related to neatness, product cleanliness and personal hygiene.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work area, in accordance to 5s standards, by cleaning spills and disposing of trash on a timely basis
  • Participates in on-the-job training and instruction to learn other job tasks
  • Complies with Company policies and perform other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Troubleshoot and repair of electrical/electronic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair of MCC and Switchgear, motors and motor controls.
  • Understanding of and calibration of process equipment, temperature controls, tension control systems,
  • Troubleshoot PLC, DC and AC Drive systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to operate various hands tools, Ability to use multi meters and oscilloscopes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent and 4+ years’ experience in industrial electronic maintenance.

Physical Requirements

The position requires an employee to stand and walk for an extended period of time. Exposure to moderate noise levels and potential hazardous materials. Must be able to lift a maximum of 55 lbs and must adhere to PPE and GMP requirements. Reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case by case situation.
