The Controls Engineer is responsible for the programming, documentation, maintenance of PLC controllers (Allen Bradley is primary, Siemens is secondary). They will ??????work with product launch teams to ensure the successful launch of all new product launches. They will assist in establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products to ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency.
The Controls Engineer will assist in revising and developing standard operational work practices. They will assist with the design, development, and modification of production processes, products and equipment for cost effective and efficient operations. They will analyze process capability and production process to help identify continuous improvement opportunities.
The Controls Engineer will assist in selecting, prioritizing, and implementing action to improve plant performance and with establishing equipment PM standards. They will inspect equipment to maintain operational performance and assist in the procurement of spare parts and or new equipment upgrades. They will troubleshoot and assist with resolution of process performance related problems.
The Controls Engineer will assist the work teams with development of technical skills (TPM) and identify development needs and updating of PM’s and TPM’s for new and altered equipment and processes.They will also assist with training for new production process launches.
