Pulls tools from cage and sets in tooling fixtures.
Sets up/organizes tool carts, kits, and tooling area
Responsible for organization, maintenance and 5S for tool setting area.
Works hand-in-hand with setup machinists to prepare for daily setups.
Coordinates with cell leaders and machinist leads on daily setup schedules.
Disassembly of used tooling and determination if tooling can be reused or needs reground.
Inspect tooling for wear.
Work with tool crib associates to ensure tooling is getting ordered
Set up and maintain redundant tooling.
Pull material for job and place with tooling in setup cart.
Tear down completed jobs and sort through tooling.
HS Graduate or equivalent (GED)
Previous manufacturing experience, knowledge of CNC tooling/machining
Must be able to utilize Microsoft Office (Excel) and work way around computer. Will utilize system called “Visual” to do inventory tracking and ordering of any tooling that is needed.
Will enter tooling into Visual to track for inventory and ordering purposes. Will be the one to create POs/order tooling when low
