Allied - Physical Therapist - AK - Fairbanks job in Fairbanks, AK
Independently evaluates patients, develops a treatment plan based on goal directed objectives, delivers/documents care, and provides discharge planning on all patients referred for physical therapy. Supervises and directs the treatment and activity of support staff. Performs tasks in compliance with the professional code of ethics, standards of practice, state/national regulations, and departmental policies/procedures.
Shift\Hours:
7am - 6:30pm, staggered start time w/in this time.
Compensation:
Pay: Starts at $90,000 for New grads, depends on experience.
Sign On / Relocation Bonus: Minimum 5k relocation bonus for a 1 year contract, for every year a candidate is willing to commit to on their contract, another 5k will be added.
Requirements:
License: PT License in Alaska (Typically takes 60-90 days to complete the process)
Certification: n/a
Experience: New Grads Accepted.
Relocation: Must be able to relocate to Alaska within 90 days of acceptance of offer.
Preferred:
Physical Therapy experience.
About the Unit:
Number of Beds: 40 patients per week is max case load- 1 patient per hour typically 53 minutes of treatment and 7 minutes of admin work.
Number of Providers: 7 - 8 providers
Patient Population: Military population, active and retired (Tricare).
Common Diagnoses: Lots of subspecialties – but mostly ortho and chronic pain. Post op, post accidents, pain management for chronic pain, manipulation, manual therapy based. Appointments booked out a month in advance.
