Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Rehabilitation Director, evaluates, plans, and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to inpatients and outpatients.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Performs a comprehensive physical, psychosocial, and safety assessment of assigned patients as evidenced by clinical documentation.
  • Develops a Plan of Care to promote optimum function and safety as documented in the clinical record.
  • Coordinates patient care with other providers ensuring optimal patient care and effective communication as noted in the clinical record.
  • Maintains and enhances personal knowledge as well as promoting professional standards in physical therapy.
  • Follows hospital exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times. Follows HIPAA regulations and policies.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.
  • Communicate with patients, families and co-workers in person, in writing and on telephone.
Shift/Hours: 
Monday-Friday, 40 hrs./week, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm or 5:00 pm (Will consider four 10-hour shifts but Fridays must be worked). Every 6th or 7th Saturday will be required to cover hospital service. Rotating holiday coverage for hospitals required. No on call requirements.

Compensation
Pay: $80,000 - $117,000
Sign On Bonus: $10,000


Requirements:
License: Idaho PT license
Certification: CPR certification required; Lymphedema certification ideal.
Experience: New graduates considered
Education: Graduation from an accredited PT school. BS Degree in physical therapy. 


Preferred:    
2 Years Experience preferred. Lymphedema experience also a preference.
  

About the Unit: 
Patient Population:    Inpatient mixed with high proportion of geriatric. Out patient more variable, post ops, chronic pain
Common Diagnoses:     Weakness, CVA, post fracture
PT to Patient Ratio:    1:1
What does success look like in 6-12 months for this position?    Candidate seeing a full caseload, developing relationships with our referral sources and in the community.
