RN - 1H Child & Adolescent Autism (Townson) - MD job in Towson, MD
Responsibilities:
Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans.
Will see a variety of patients with developmental disabilities, some patients are non-verbal and are unable to manage feelings/emotions. A RN will have to be patient and attentive in order to care for these patients. There will be times where RNs have to make quick decisions.
Shift/Hours:
Multiple Shifts available to include Day/Evening and Evening/Night Shifts.
Compensation:
Pay: Starting at $32/hr.
Sign On Bonus: $6,000 for RNs.
Tuition Reimbursement: Eligible employees receive up to $3,000 in tuition assistance for approved programs.
Requirements:
License: MD RN License or Compact License, NPs will not be considered for RN positions
Certification: AHA approved BLS/CPR certification, will receive CPI training
Experience: 3+ years of bedside RN experience
Education: Associate's Degree
Preferred:
Experience working with patient population.

Patient population: Ages 5 - 17
Common diagnoses: Developmentally disabled, Autism, non-verbal, unable to manage feelings/emotions
Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4-5
Average # of admits per day/week: Varies
