The Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit is a 22-bed unit offering a highly focused crisis intervention model for the treatment of major mental illnesses where the average length of stay is less than 5 days.
Shift/Hours:
Multiple Shifts available to include Day/Evening, Evening/Night, and Night shifts.
Compensation:
Pay: Starting at $32/hr.
Sign On Bonus: $6,000 for RN's
Requirements:
License: MA RN License, NPs will not be used be considered for RN positions
Certification: AHA approved Basic Life Support/CPR certification
Experience: New Grads Accepted.
Education: Associate's Degree
Preferred:
Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred. May prefer a more experienced nurse will still consider a new grad.

Patient population: Adult Crisis Stabilization
Common diagnoses: Bi Polar disorder, Schizoaffective disorder
Nurse to patient ratio: Depends but usually 1:7 when beds are full
Average # of admits per day/week: 1-2 per day average
Are there any opportunities for growth? Tuition reimbursement, training opportunities, and growth within SP
What type of personality works well in this department? Thick skin and calm under pressure
